Dr. Beiler's Salivary pH Acid Challenge- This is a dynamic measurement of the body's alkaline mineral serves- one of the secondary buffering systems of the body. We are looking to see whether the body has the reserves necessary to respond to an acid challenge. This test also allows us to see how stress and sympathetic dominance impact mineral reserves in the body. Increasing levels of stress to the point of adrenal exhaustion will cause the loss of the primary mineral reserves, which are composed of the alkaline minerals potassium, magnesium, sodium and calcium.
