Chiropractic Physician Dr. Susan Anschutz is a 2007 Cum Laude graduate of Cleveland Chiropractic College, Kansas City. Spurred on by the belief that our Creator made our bodies capable of healing themselves when given the right environment, Dr. Anschutz pursued additional avenues to natural healing.

While still a student, she began post-graduate studies in Internal Medicine presented by the American Chiropractic Association’s Board of Internal Disorders that lead toward a Diplomat (DABCI) status. She also received training in heavy metal detoxification from the American Board of Clinical Metal Toxicologists (ABCMT) as a member of the International College of Integrative Medicine (ICIM). This training combined with her natural approach to internal medicine sparked her interest in adopting special autism intervention methods. In May, she completed the training required to become a Defeat Autism Now! (DAN!) practitioner, while continuing her DABCI studies and a course in Functional Diagnostic Medicine.  In October of 2008 she received certification in the Neurological Applications of Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy from the International Hyperbarics Association.

Dr. Anschutz uses the Activator and Sacro-occipital techniques, both considered low force. (Her adjustments typically do not require the twisting and popping movements performed by some chiropractors.) Thousands of practitioners have used both techniques for more than 40 years on hundreds of thousands of patients — who have enjoyed relief of pain and dysfunction associated with nervous system interference.

Years ago, after a Master’s degree in Health Care Administration and six years’ experience in medical office management, Dr. Anschutz envisioned a practice bringing together society’s need for a real solution to health (instead of illness) care in an accessible neighborhood center that focused on functional medicine, chiropractic, detoxification and oxidative medicine. Her vision is now reality at Summit of Health Integrative Care, Chiropractic and Hyperbaric Center, Inc.
